Get ready to go back a century… to the era of Québec’s first pulp mills
Between 1901 and 1927, Val-Jalbert vibrated happily at the pace of its pulp and paper plant. In 1901, the date when the plant was built by Damase Jalbert, the village was called “Ouiatchouan”, the name of the falls that powered the mill to produce the wood pulp. This is a day filled with activities and entertainment for the whole family.
